We’re really proud to say that out of 12,777 products sent in from 106 different countries, Emaya Pure Life was awarded a 1-star Great Taste award for both of its TurmeriChai® blends - Star Latte and Orange Spice, in 2020. This means that judges dubbed each blend as a food that delivers fantastic flavour. 

Judged by 144 of the most discerning palettes, belonging to food critics, chefs, cooks, restauranteurs, buyers, retailers and producers, as well as food writers and journalists, Great Taste is a true badge of honour, with the unmistakeable black and gold Great Taste label as a signpost to an outstanding product, which has been discovered through hours and hours of blind tasting.

“A pleasant turmeric colour and good consistency, nicely dissolved, leaving no particles or granules floating in the cup.”

“The aroma is clearly turmeric noted with a delicate coconut sweetness.”

“A good level of heat is delivered both during the sipping and as an aftertaste/ experience, which does deliver on what you would want from a decent turmeric spiced latte.”

“We feel it is clear that the ingredients are good quality and well thought out.”

“Saline rather than overtly sweet on the palette, with marked warmth from the spice. We approve the very light level of carob sweetness, the balance tipping in favour of salinity. All told, we feel this is a sound turmeric latte, with good impact from the spice, and evidencing the use of good ingredients at all levels.”

“Frothy and pastel yellow in appearance, with hints of turmeric and orange on the nose. There is a lovely almost floral element to it, possibly from cardamom.”

“The orange twist is distinct and comes through well, and the lingering warmth from the spice persists well into the finish. Overall a bright and pleasent beverage, deserving of a star.”
